I recently bought some semi precious stone focal donuts, including a Green Adventurine stone. The donut bails I initially wanted to use didn’t work out that well, so I ended up making the bail out of sterling silver (22ga half-hard) wire.
Tips for making the bail: Make the spiral first, then the twisted loop at the top. This part was wrapped around the back of the donut so there has to be enough room between the spiral and the loop to go around. A second wrapped loop was made about 1.5cm from the first one. This sits at the front of the donut and the beads & crystals are strung from this loop. The second spiral finishes at the end of the wire. Do all the wire working before attaching the bail to the donut.
I had some fun making matching earrings as well.
